Cruise ship OJT – A New Experience

HRM students from the third level set foot in the Pier terminal on May 20, 2012 for their cruise ship on-the-job training via 2go International, Inc. vessel en route from Manila-Cebu-Zamboanga-General Santos

Day 1 started with the orientation seminar re: cruise ship management & vessel familiarization.

On shifting schedule, each one was given work assignment in different areas. For Housekeeping with sub-areas like Housekeeping Cabin & Storeroom, Housekeeping Tourist, Housekeeping Megavalue.For the Food and Beverage service, work allocations took place in the cruise’s restaurants, the  Island fiesta and Horizon Café and also in the grocery section called quikmart.

Also included are the lobby and public areas while the front office served as their training venue for their communication skills.

Last day of the training, May 25, 2012, socialization and graduation took place.

On the way to Manila,the students had free time to go shopping to General  Santos.
